Quick and experienced driver, adds to undoubted driving skills a remarquable
technical background (he is an engineer from Polytechnic of Milan) and a great "sensibility"
that makes him an excellent tester too. His father ran with success in the 60's,
he has grown up with motor sport passion. Being only 14, he approached
motorcycle riding in the national F.I.M. trophy of Enduro, imposing himself
as one of the best Sicilian motor bikers. In the following years, he has won
almost all the races he has run, until when, cause of studies, he left the
competition. He returned to racing only in 1979, with a very short
experience in rallies, then committing to car racing definitively in 1984.
